The Verdant Collapse

A 2602 cyberpunk dystopia where the world has reclaimed itself. Humanity must survive the world, instead of the other way around.

This is the reference archive for JJ's open-collab series. Lore, factions, the active roster, and submission info for creators who want to bring their own characters into the world.

// Setting: 2602 Post-Collapse // Genre: Cyberpunk Dystopia // Status: Open Series

The world outgrew us.

// The Infection

Verdants

Organisms overtaken by the fungal strain don't decompose; they evolve. Their biology restructures mid-combat, every failed kill making them more dangerous. The terrain itself learns.

// The Answer

Splicers

Humans fused with biomechanical Sync Systems and a parasitic Heartseed. They're humanity's last line of defense, and most of them are already losing pieces of themselves to the system that keeps them alive.

// The Cost

Surge

The more a Splicer fights, the more the Heartseed wakes up. Strength, speed, and perception sharpen while restraint and identity erode. Left unchecked, Surge ends in Full Bloom: irreversible transformation into a Verdant.

// The Factions

Factions

Five powers govern what's left of humanity: Pandora Sector, Aether Bioworks, Helix Syndicate, the Rootbound Collective, and the Veil Ordinance. Survival depends on who controls the future of human evolution.

An open-collab series.
